Abstract

ABSTRACT

In describing the development of a multi-/interdisciplinary project in the field of Environmental Education and Heritage Preservation, this article presents the results of a research, highlighting the potentialities and weaknesses in the process of elaboration and development of the project entitled "Railroad Paths, Nature and Culture". The proposal was idealized by 10 teachers of the New High School (NEM), of the curricular components of Art, Geography, History and English of a state public school in Curitiba (Paraná). Thus, the methodology adopted by the study in question was based on the teachers' perspective, based on participant research, questionnaire application and Content Analysis. The results indicate that teachers emphasized more the potentialities related to the project than the weak aspects, which indicates that the experience has the potential for replication and possible continuity of similar initiatives. This result reinforces that the effective and continuous practice of Environmental Education in the school context, through collective pedagogical projects, could be an alternative that adds to others to assist the process of inserting or enhancing Environmental Educati,on in schools.
