A Valorização da experiência mimética da criança na pré-escola

Abstract

This article presents reflections on the valorization of children's protagonism in preschool. We take as a basis Walter Benjamin's philosophical theory on the concept of child, childhood and education, seeking to understand childhood as the perceptive world of the child, who still carries the mimetic faculty, that is, brings with him the traits of the previous generation and confronts with them, at the same time that it is submitted to a logical order and is gradually adapted in the contemporary education process. In this way, we point out the possibility of breaking with the bourgeois model of Early Childhood Education to build an education based on the child's mimetic experience (of what they are and not of what they become). This study is the result of doctoral research in Education developed based on bibliographic and documentary analysis. The historical contextualization of the writings and the social, political and cultural elements that supported Walter Benjamin's reflection on childhood and education was carried out, a methodology that made it possible to confirm that early childhood education at school, as well as the entire process of formation of our society, has as its backdrop the most varied forms of control and repression.
