Pedagogical work and professional valorization: an analysis of the historicity of the normal course in Rio Grande do Sul

Abstract

We systematize aspects of research carried out with the objective of investigating the evidences of teacher appreciation, with a temporal cut between 1950 and 1970, in the Normal Course. The research carried out, from a historical perspective and an analytical approach to the movements of senses, was a study. For the production of data, the researchers carried out an extensive analysis and systematization of the documents of the historical collection of Santa Maria school, in Rio Grande do Sul. The analyzed materials allowed to affirm that the valorization processes, that is, of consideration of the subjects and the his work as socially contributory, happened with characteristics external to the Normal Course.
