Official Curriculum o the State of São Paulo

Abstract

The article presents partial results of research that has as its object of study the official São Paulo curriculum. The bibliographic review found that there are many researches that deal with the referred curriculum, however, few emphasize the central axes that guide it. Of the five central axes that define the official São Paulo curriculum, three of them establish that the curriculum emphasizes competence-centered teaching. We present in this text the first results of our analysis, questioning the meanings that the concept of competence assumes in the curriculum documents. Our objective is to understand what meanings the concept of competences assumes in the documents, as well as the theoretical references that guide it.
