Abstract

The reading of infancy as a category of modern thought is already somewhat consensual. The relationship between childhood and subjectivity has already been pointed out by countless thinkers within this metaphysical horizon. But what happens when these concepts are analyzed in light of Nietzsche's perspective? This study intends to reflect on some elements of the Nietzschean critique of metaphysical subjectivity from the text On Truth and Lies in the Extra-Moral Sense followed by some notes from the work Beyond Good and Evil. After this first demarcation, we tried to establish some relationships with the childhood theme. The approach carried out here is of a hermeneutic nature. And the results indicate that this reading new possibilities to discuss the categories subjectivity and childhood and can renew post metaphysical horizons where childhood can be recognized on other bases.
