Abstract

The present study is the result of a research carried out in Singapore. The research conducted was a two part investigation: first an analysis of  the use of technology within the classroom, second the procedures implemented by the future teachers, who were in training at the National Institute of Education (NIE). During 9 months, the author observed the formation of 12 students, from the Education graduate course, and how they used the acquired knowledge in their classrooms  in schools, during the period of their internship. Observations, analysis of lesson plans, application of questionnaires and interviews were made to verify if what was planned, referring to the integration of technologies, was carried out in the classroom. For this purpose, the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology - UTAUT (VENKATESH ET AL., 2003) allied to the TPACK Model (KOEHLER, MISHRA, 2008) was used as a theoretical reference, necessary for teachers’ training for integration of technologies. The Model that emerges as a result of the research unites these theories and seeks to be a path for the development of courses, whether pre service or in service, so teachers can optimize the use of ICT in the classroom, in order to assist in students learning.
